Default Cold Lake Update

Well now that I finally got my boat back a couple weeks ago and got on the water I figured I would give an update as i'm always getting lots of messages on how its fishing. I know remember why I like laker fishing so much!

The last week the fish could be still found in abundance up shallow relating to structure and bait. Most fish over 30" came jigging in these areas in 30-50 fow. Chartreuse was defiantly the color of choice the past week and produced anywhere from 30 to 60 fish days. Once you spent a little time with the sonar to get on a nice school of them the bites came hot and heavy. If you could convince them to chase it was game over! But there was still plenty of other bites to be had just bouncing it off the bottom and pausing it.

Hopefully I'll have a video for you guys again soon.

Have a good weekend on the water everyone!

Good on ya Matt.....find the bait balls....hang around them and you will have success....lots of lakers just wish there were a few 20 pounders showing up say every ten fish....but then people would keep them....we need a one fish limit tag system slot size type deal.....

I got to get back on those fish this wk-end....been busy in the yak catching eyes...lots of eyes....luv catching

Look forward to your new video and glad your boats up and running...ya must have been going through withdrawals

Son and I got into them really good today. 2 spots I’ve never fished produced a total of 56 landed trout In 6 hrs but only one over. All were on bottom in 100ft , jig and sucker. Funny thing is I marked NO bait , just fish.
