It’s working for me but nothing wrong with more articles and more info. I’m hopeful there were no casualties or injuries sustained from the homes occupants if they were home at the time of impact..

What makes this accident so sad is that the Snowbirds are the last universally beloved institution in what’s left of a tattered Canada, as long ago the rcmp have forsaken their wholesome identity.

That sadness is greatly multiplied given the fact they were on a goodwill mission, trying to bring a bit of joy, awe and tribute to us all.

Also, as someone who was born and raised in N.S., this is just another kick in the nuts. Three members from the helicopter crash were from the province as well. It’s been pretty tough for the good folks there as 2020 has been particularly cruel.

Rest well Captain Casey. Thank you.

Would be a beautiful sentiment if it were true. Old photo. The team is still grounded in YKA. Plus, that's a P3 Oruin I believe, ASW aircraft. I have no doubt when the time comes she'll be escorted home properly. 😥

Aurora (CP140). Greenwood and Comox fly them.

I guess with the investigation still on going they would be still grounded. For those in the know, would they bring her home in that form of transport if the investigation wasn’t too much longer? Have they ever brought a deceased team member back home in this fashion?

Snowbirds no but yes in a similar fashion with CF188 and CC150 Polaris when Canada suffered there first casualties of war in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan in 2002. Subsequently this lead to the formation of theHighway to Hero's. The highway’s name was coined unofficially in 2002, after the first of Canada’s soldiers killed in Afghanistan were repatriated. The remains were flown into Canadian Forces Base Trenton,It was 2007 when the Canadian government renamed the freeway stretching from Trenton, Ontario, to the city of Toronto the Highway of Heroes. Also known as Macdonald-Cartier Freeway or Highway 401, it meanders more than 100 miles, most of it along Lake Ontario.

We shall not forget
