I like this show, I kind of wish it was all new people rather than past participants though. Still looking forward to see who wins.

She pushed that hook deeper and deeper. Tried cutting off the eye - what the heck that was here handle to back it out at the beginning... She struggled for sure thinking herbal paste would help pull it out. Lol. Multi-tool on her list of items next time

When did you see this? I watched the show and didn't see any of this.

I thought that was to prevent infection, I can't remember what she used, but it was supposed to "suck" out any infection, not remove the hook.

I thought she would last until the end or close to it. She was actually my first pick in our pool. My first pick if I had my choice would have been Dave.

Some things about this show surprise me for sure. If you go online you can see a list of what everyone took. Some of these people never even took para cord, I guess the will be using fishing line to make shelters??

I thought most people would know hot to remove a fish hook

I missed something, the show I watched introduced all the competitors and focused on the training they did. The competition hasn't even started on what I watched.

She said it happened when the fish "jumped off the hook" as she was trying to grab the fish.

At any rate, it's interesting how something so simple could take you out.

Before it even happened, I questioned why she was fishing again, she knows there's fish there, already had a decent meal the day before, time to start the shelter.

I mean she didn't know how to remove it from her hand. If you youtube how to do it it's pretty simple, it sounds like it would be painful but I have heard that it is not too bad.

In reality it is a fairly common injury and the procedure is straight forward although mentally easier if someone else performs it on you and you're not trying to do it with your non dominant hand like she was.

Looks like they are in for a cold long haul, interesting enough the fish can be caught, lets she who makes a smoker to prep for the long haul, etc....you are not surviving you are settling in as in a home and the weather is nice now so get at it or tap out.

Well that sucks, Karleigh was one of my picks to win. Just bad luck for her to be out so early. Had to laugh at the guy crying already 4 hrs in, don't think he'll make a week.
