stillwater trout fly swap
Anybody interested in doing a fly swap for stillwater flies? Say 10 or 12
No particular style just whatever you like. I'll do a Ruby eyed leech(balanced fly)

sent you all my address. lets shoot for dec 15. mine are already tied so whenever everyone gets them in i'll ship them out or i'll get the wife to. any of the local tyers, if u wanna just meet up that works as well. I'm probably gonna be up north until the 17th or 18th so i'll send them out as soon as I get back.
Still room for couple more. total count is 10 so if it stays the same we'll all tie 9.

I will make my favourite nymph, which I created. I caught most of my fish last season with the one fly, but lost it when my line got caught on some rocks. I wanted to make more for this season, so now have the motivation to do it sooner than later.

Can you post pics of all the flies when finished I'd love to see the patterns that people fish.
If someone bows out let me know, pattern and volume and I'll see what I can do.
I've done quiet a few on here so if others are interested let them go first.

A great swap guide can be found at Flyfish Calgary http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/inde...showtopic=1350
Basically, tie your flies, it's a nice courtesy to include an extra one for the person organizing the fly swap. Send them all in a little box to the address, include a postage paid return envelope. It's nice to include some details about the fly, materials etc.
The person organizing the swap will compile everyone's flies and return one of each back to you in the box you sent yours in.

haha I forgot to include my postal code to everyone. its T4B 2X5
There are 10 tyers in on this swap so send 9 flies each. No need to send extras. This is the first one for me as well, but should be pretty straight forward. The link above explains everything pretty well. I included my cell # so if anyone has any questions just pop me a text.

I tied up 10 of these , they're pretty light in colour so you could Coptic marker them a different colour if you like .

Its easier to send 10 flies each, then it easier for the host to sort them into piles without having to remember who sent what so they don't get their own fly back. So you get one of your own ties back but it makes things way easier for the host.

Will finish up 10 balanced Vampire leeches tonight. Never tied so many of the same type before but found that an assembly line approach helped.

Mr. flyguy, I am planning on doing the same assembly line idea as well. Have never done 10 of the same before.
