Default Is this another anti-firearms "shot" from the Federal Government?

If this isn't acceptable on this forum, please let me know. I think it is outdoors, guns, hunting and Alberta related, but I'm never sure what's okay and what isn't.

Canada's most senior federal public servant says he is worried someone is going to be shot after Senator Tkachuk's comment that the yellow vest convoy should roll over the Liberals. Tkachuk, of course, was speaking figuratively. (https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/tas...shot-1.5028503)

Help me out. Does this reaction from eastern government officials to western alienation appear to be another sign of their total lack of appreciation for the reality of Alberta and Saskatchewan oil and gas industries, hunting, firearms, and so on?

If I say that I hope the Liberals are "wiped out" in the next election, partly because of their attitude towards guns and hunting, does that mean I am advocating violence? It's not a coincidence that Senator Tkachuk is from Saskatchewan.

Rant over.

It's fear mongering, no doubt about it. I think there's some irony in that the same people who criticize Trump for his fear mongering do a lot of fear mongering themselves, apparently without seeing the connection.

They keep referring to the convoy as controversial in every headline to demean it every chance they get. Not surprised with this either.

The time effort and money spent on the convoy could have been better spent trying to toss out every liberal in the next election. I do not see anything that has changed for all their efforts.

The reaction to one ignorant comment is typical of today's tempest in a teapot, no news, fake news today.

I thought that was pretty funny when I saw him in the news, not even an elected official. I'm sure all the senators are spending time at Connaught Range zeroing in their sniper rigs.

I think it is an attempt to portray themselves as victims.

Funny, he based it partly on comments by one of the convoy truckers.

Sorry, I went through the site you posted, I couldn't find a comment by one of the truckers.

In his own post, did hear him saying...somebody is going to be shot...those are the words that lead to assasination. sounds like a victim to me.

Well it the same segment of the population that preach tolerance and acceptance but do not tolerate or accept anyone who believes differently than them.
