Default Why stop with Montana

Interesting proposal. I did check the calendar to see if I missed March.

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world...SfX?li=AAggNb9

Why stop with Montana. Let’s buy all the bordering states. Alaska, Washington Idaho North Dakota and Minnesota They can keep the rest. Once secured we can then separate as a northwest repbublic of America

Could work

There's certain areas of town I'd not mind CCW'ing a Glock 19 too...... It sure would have the effect of calming down the aggressive junkies near the 'safe injection sites' if they knew people were allowed to defend themselves, and allowed to carry the equipment to do so with.

Agreed. $100,000.us. Per tax paying citizen. That's peanuts for the Americans. Think of the oil revenue we could all make

Open carry is the safest way of protection. Just think, how many montanans get rolled for there wallet knowing its possible they are carrying, compared to canadians knowing they aren't.

With open carry you either are or are not carrying a firearm. There is no possible about it, they either have one or don't. It isn't hard to see.

Personally I dislike open carrying outside of work. If I am displaying a firearm on my person it makes me the first target to any criminal wishing to commit a crime. If I am concealed they don't know who is and who isn't carrying a weapon. I've run from a Ruger LCR in .357mag to a SigP220 in .45 for EDC. My firearm of choice of late has been a Glock43 although the Sig365 is tempting me.

File under idle humour.
The economic complexity of merging Western States with Western Provinces is daunting, to say nothing of political and social differences.
Heck, Western States have about as much difficulty reconciling their differences with each other as the Western Provinces are having.

Why?

We can’t even run the provinces and territories we have now.

Split needs to be north and south. Eastern states can have the eastern provinces.

Western states and western Canada are more aligned economically.

The Boarder has always been wrong in North America. Instead of running east to west, it should have been created north to south. Western Canada has a lot more in common with Mont, Utah, Wyoming Ariz, Idaho, and Texas then with Ont, Quebec and the Maritimes. And the western states have more incommon with us then New York City.
Just my 2 cents.

Guys just for the record, David Thompson Canadian fur trader/explorer surveyed and claimed Montana, Washington and Idaho for Canada. Stupid
eastern federal goberment gave it away to Americans for little patch of land by St Lawrence river, when 49th border being negotiated, go figure.

Default I got a C in Poly Sci in 1971

Proposing that we sell Canada to the USA for 1 million for each person (adult) in Canada. At the time it would have been a great deal for the USA with the natural resources available to them and I argued it would allow everyone in Canada to settle where ever in the world they wanted or stay being financially secure. It was received poorly in small town Ontario school as being very unpatriotic and thus marked down substantially compared to my other marks. That was before the first go round of liberal gun control in 1978. Bet it looks much better to Canadians right now.
