Default Elk Shed

Got this shed from a local farmer it was left in his hay stack along with the matching side with a busted off g4. What do you think this would score. the other side is a perfect match other than about 12-15" of g4 busted off. It has amazing long beams for a central alberta bull. his 3rds are short but he makes up for it every where else.

^^ someone could do that for you with pics that have something to guage size.....like a person holding it, or maybe a tape, or even a gun....you know....some reference. the only thing in those pics to show anything is the width of the flooring which can be anywhere from 4-8 inches. thats not enough to go by. noone can give any kind of educated guess by those pics. heck, you say the beams are long, but a shot along the beam doesnt show that.....you need a view from the side to see beam length.

Why not put a tape to it and get an exact measurement off it quickly? Takes under 10 minutes...

He looks like a good bull, but a guy does need reference to see exactly what you're looking at.

I put a tape on it b-4 i left and i beleive the beams were 55",His 4ths were
21". Thats the only measurements i took b4 i left for work i will get some when i go home to give you a better idea. I dont know nothing a whole bunch about elk horns( how to score them ) but i am guessing somewhere in the 320-330. Just a guess could be 20-30 " either way i dont know.

If he's got a 55" main beam and some decent width, I'd say he could be in the high 330 range or even into the 340's. Really tough to say. He's a bit weak on his eye guards and his 3rd but overall looks pretty good.

Kind of what i thought, Thanks Rack. Do you measure elk points the same way you would measure a whitetail off his beams?

Yes, the points are measured off the beams pretty much the same from what I know. I'm no pro, just a garage rough scorer!
