Default Ballistic App/calculator

Looking for a good app, to estimate pressures, and work up loads. I don't appear to be able to get Quickload for my tablet or phone.

Are there other good programs?

And can the pressure be calculated from velocity? Curious how hot 13.2 gr. of VV N-350 driving a 255 gr. cast to 1340 fps out of a 7.5" Blackhawk is.

Buy a cheap laptop and get quickload. I don’t think there is an app version of a quickload type program.

Dubios is right. If you are trying to estimate pressures then Quickload is the best option I know of. A cheap used laptop to run it, can also keep all you load data, spreadsheets etc on there and have a dedicated unit to run you Labradar.

Load from A Disk is considerably less expensive, but is considerably less capable and simpler to use. One of its weaknesses is the limited number of powders its database accommodates and the the limited number of powders that will be offered as a solution when a case and a bullet are selected. Also, I heard the guy that developed it died a few years back so I am not sure if it is even still available. Also, I doubt it would run on anything but a Windows PC either.

Thanks guys; I'll have to commandeer a laptop from the fam.

In the meantime, any estimate on how much pressure my load is making?

You would need to weight a spent case filled with water slightly over filled And provide load details including barrel length on rifle oal powder bullet used weight of bullet chambering and a speed reading for it to be close to estimating your pressure.

Pm me if you want and I can put it through quick load.

I'll have to check to get it more exact, but if it helps, it's a 7.5" barrel revolver, Federal cases, CCI magnum large pistol primers, IIRC (I'll measure) 1.615 COAL, 255 Missouri Cast bullets, over 13.2 gr. VV N-350.

Thanks!

Forgot to mention that it was about 1340 fps. I'll get a little bit more accurate information shortly.
