I do not think it is right you have to buy a hunting licence before you apply for a draw.
What good is a licence if you do not get drawn

You have to buy wildlife certificate before draw not the license to hunt the animal trying to draw for. Written pretty clearly when dates of draw are able to be put in and that

You don't buy the license until you are drawn. Starting in 2020 you must buy your Wild Life Certificate before you can enter the draws, which I think is a good start to cleaning up the mess our draw system is

I think this is a good idea it will maybe deter some of the Anit-Hunter or PETA people from entering the draw just to use up some draw tags to save some animals.

You don't have to buy a hunting license, just a Wildlife Certificate, which you need anyways to purchase any general tags or a bird license.

is there any proof that anti-hunters buy draws just to save an animal? i feel this is a tinfoil hat theory.

I totally agree with having to purchase a wc before entering a draw.
Also, it would be a great idea to automatically get charged the price of the drawn license as soon as it is drawn.

Yes that would work and then if you don't get drawn you get a refund

He posted that you pay for the tag when drawn, not when you apply. This would be easy to do if you provide a credit card number when you apply. If the card is no longer valid when you draw, you are disqualified from the following years draws, until you pay for the license that you drew.

Google it. It's been a common tactic for years.
I feel you tend to be unable to educate yourself.

I would also like to go to the send a cheque method many states do for specialty draws.
I'm tired of hearing about the dummies that draw goat tags and have never intended to use them.

Somebody must be using the goat tags as 6 of the 9 areas are closed.

Make draws $50 per application. $250 for priority species.

$3.65 is and absolute joke and cheapest in North America.

$3.65 is easy for them to make easy money even for the 25% that don’t even hunt. It should be $500 per draw then only the people serious about hunting win

So starting in 2020 all entries in a draw will need their Wildlife cert, or just the primary applicant?
And will 999 be exempt from this?

The proposal says "All Hunters".
999 would Not be exempt.
This is a long overdue change, glad to see it is finally being addressed.

This move could reduce the # of draw applications significantly if (as quoted in the 2020 proposed changes), 25% of draw applicants never buy a wildlife certificate.
This may eliminate a lot of the "significant other" applications particularly for moose where partnering is allowed.

This comment is a joke.
Applications should be easily affordable. If drawn, tags could double in price. That wouldnt bother me. But, tags should still be auto paid when drawn.

And so for antelope ( a priority species), assuming a 10 year wait, that would be
a $2500.00 in application fees before paying for your license ?
