nice older buck down!
I went for a walk the other day out in a cut block. I kept seeing big deer tracks. So I sneak all around this cut block it takes probably 4 hours and no deer. I mean nothing! So feeling a bit down that I had made some unknown mistake and blew my chance at this deer leaving these big fresh tracks I head for the truck. I get almost there and catch a glimpse at this big deer with brown antlers sneaking across the lease road. I could not tell how many points he had but a smart man once told me if you see a deer with chocolate coloured antlers shoot it! So as the deer crossed the road about 300 yards in front of me I wait. He makes his way into the bush and thats when I run to close the gap and find a shooting lane. Waiting for him to hit the cut line felt like forever. But after a minute or two there he was! He didn't give me the best shot but I took it and the 7mm came through. He was down hill a bit and the bullet took his spine on the way in and his lungs on the way out and down he went. I was so happy with this deer I had to post this. Problem is that I can't figure out how to post pics here so if someone could help me I would be glad to email my pics to you and have you post them for me.

Post another reply. Scroll down to bottom. There will be a (manage attachments) button on left side above submit reply button. It opens a new page. Click the choose file button. Select file. Over on right hand side click the upload button. Then submit reply button. Hopefully that works.
