Default Juicy Honey Holes: Fly Fishing Bow River [Calgary, Alberta]

https://youtu.be/xc1UWwUMdwo

Couple buddies joined me to hike in 8km to a secluded honey hole on the Bow River (Calgary, Alberta). It was a very bright day but we managed to get into more than 10 decent fish. There were hundreds of midges on the water but with the bright sun, the fish were deeper. We did find a couple in the faster water around riffles. Caught fish on: San Juan, Copper Johns & small leeches. Set-Up: 9' 6wt, WF Floating Line & 3x leader.

Nice video, I think we talked to you guys for a few seconds as we drifted by you fishing that back eddy above the island. Looks like you guys really did do good at the corner.

Well technically I believe its still crown land but you have to get to that quarter crossing private but I think a tad shorter walk than 8 unless one has the tendency to wander in circles......

I think you could access around the golf course then walk downstream about 3 or 4km

Pretty hard walk down from the golf course once you get the eroding hill side if you were to stay below the high water mark.
