Default Milk River Ridge Reservoir info.

Just wondering about elk and mulie numbers in the area. Stumbled on to some access and all he knows about wildlife is there are elk and deer not sizes. I see that the draw priorities are high but from my own areas I know that means very little. I've travelled a lot of the mountains in this province, I have intel to share. PM if preferred.

Lots of mule deer throughout the whole zone, some great size as well if you put in time scouting and have the right access. Lots of tags given out though so there can be lots of competition.

yup, lots of mulies. guess there have to be a few big ones, but i live down here and RARELY ever see one that's worth a second look (bear in mind i spent 40 years hunting in saskatchewan, so somewhat spoiled) when they opened this zone for elk, there were some gaggers here, but they have really been picked over in the years since. again, there is the odd good one, but nothing like 10 or so years ago.

i think that if you put in the time you'll find an elk, but not so sure it will be a big one.
