The Nashville Network Hunting show
Anyone remember the hunting shows on TNN in the 90's?
I specifically remember one show. Guy was hunting a big bull elk in the mountains with a long bow over several episodes.
I even remember the same guy shooting an aspirin out of the air with his bow in the intro to the show each week.
Anyone recall the name of the show?
As a young man I was glued to that show each week and It drove me to chase elk here at home.
Came up in conversation with my son the other day I tried to find it on YouTube but failed as I couldn't recall a name.

I remember Ron LaClair, big burly dude with a beard. Shot with him at the Michigan Longbow Shoot in Michigan many years ago.

I don't recall the show your after.
TNN had Buckmasters and the rest. Remember watching most of them at one time or another. No kill shots shown and it came out later that they hunted fenced preserves and beside feeders that when the horn went off, the deer came in. But back then, it was all you could find for deer hunting shows. They were a good way to kill an afternoon of TV.
Small derail, I really liked Michigan Outdoors.

Either of these jog your memory?
While I think the 2 most likely characters have already been mentioned, here are a couple more TNN hunting shows from that era:
Bill Jordan's Realtree Outdoors
Hunting The Country

Could it have been on ESPN? Found this comment about a Byron Ferguson elk hunt from December 2002 on the Archery Talk forum:
Quote:
Yep he's a cool trick shot artist. He was on an ESPN show awhile back. He was with someone else hunting elk he missed the elk. I've wondered how they ever think up some of those shots. The original person that is. He shoots a longbow better than I could. All instinctive no using reference points.

Here is the link to that short thread: https://www.archerytalk.com/threads/...ferguson.5013/
There are lots of references to Byron being on ESPN's "Impossible Shots", but I recall that as being purely trick shooting challenges.

Dang i thought for sure someone would get it right away.
I recall this elk hunt taking place over an entire season of programing. Several episodes after the same bull.

I remember the episode but that was about it. He ran out of arrows on that bull. You didnt dream. If my memory serves me right the bull was semi skylined with a tree to the left of it.

Wish I could help answer you riddle but totally forgot about the hunting shows on TNN. They were the only game in town pretty much at the time
