At Dawn We Slept. Gordon Prange. Some say it's the definitive book on Pearl Harbor.

Way back at the start of this thread I mentioned my all time favourite book “Chickenhawk”. Well I just finished a book called “Reflections of a Warrior “ and wow!!

Now I have it tied in first place with no other book coming close to these two. A must read. Starts off ok, then good, then better, then you realize every page is taking it to the next level. By the end it is just crazy.

Some great books mentioned, some that I've read. A few more that I enjoyed were:

As Far as My Feet Will Carry Me - Josef Bauer. A German officer POW escapes from a Siberian gulag and walks two years to freedom.

Down the Great Unknown-John Welsey Powell. The first trip through the Grand Canyon

Lost In the Jungle-Yossi Ghinsberg. A student, lost in the Amazon

The Hot House-Pete Early. Life in Leavenworth Prison. Fiction based on reality.
