Default High powered binos

Has anyone ever used any of the high powered binoculars out there. I was looking for a new spotting scope and saw a few pairs of binos that are 20-60 magnification and 60-125 objective size, they all have tripod adaptors on them as well. I was wondering how they would work at the range or gopher field as an alternative to a spotting scope (2 eyes better than one theory). Probably be more than a little heavy to pack on a hunt though.
Any one own or have ever used them?

Default Big binos

Celestron make a number of large binos 25x100mm, 20x80mm, as well as some new zooms. The trouble with the zoom binos is that they get dark fast when you zoom then to their highest power. The trouble with the fixed powers is that they are very heavy and need a very heavy tripod to support their weight. They do make a nice 15x70mm bino that you can hand hold or tripod mount.
When looking at distance I think that one will be more effective than two. FS

I have a pair of 20X80 bino's love them!

But if I am away from the truck, I pack the spotting scope.

But in a world where size matters they are great to have!

But buy a spotting scope first.

Buy the best one period, as a spotting scope is like a rifle, you will be using it for years!

Over your hunting lifespan it is something you will use lots and $400.00 divided by 20 yrs is $20 per year.

This logic works with the spouse every time!
