Default a couple lil perch

Let me first say that perch have ALWAYS been my nemesis - I just do not have the luck, skill, knowledge, call it whatever, to be successful with catching perch. I have tried many times and many times come home discouraged.

Today, I had to head out on the big lake first thing to meet with some clients and get them set up in the shacks. I was home by noon, and decided to head to Snipe to try ( again ) to catch some perch. So me and the twins took off around 2:00, with hot chocolate, coffee, beef jerky and doritos and everything else we would need to be successful

Finally, success!

Not a huge amount, but the bite was really nice most of the afternoon, and once I got the hang of it, it was pretty fun. Nothing huge, but lots of fun with my girls!

Emily was making fun of the size of the fish as she was taking the pic:

But at least it was better than hers:

Is it bad that I love fishing so much??

The last one is a nice size.

Anything 10"-11" or better is a nice perch in my books - that looks like about that size ..... just starting to get it's hump.

Nothing wrong with a nice day out with the kid(s)

Went out solo again today, kind of got fired up yesterday to catch more perch!

Was even better than yesterday, still missed LOTS of strikes but iced quite a few good perch. Great fun!
