Default Getting Depressed waiting for Spring

Can't do a thing in the Great Outdoors. Damn Snow keeps coming. Was gonna go out today, but it's snowing again, roads are the pits. Nothing to do but pound on the key board here, though I did take the snow shoes out of storage, hopefully one last time. Rick Mercer obviously has the same train of thought.

The hubbie takes me out for a drive in the country scouting shed hunting sites and picking ***** willows for our respective moms...
His bro never let's winter and the loss of an arm 10 years ago stop him from fly fishing open leads in creeks and rivers all over the place.
Maybe this will help with some ideas?

I noticed the "kitty" willows starting to poke their heads out during a our last little warm spell.

I hope they make it through this last freeze up.

It's Alberta...when does spring ever actually come this early?

This has given me lots of time to throw a bunch of crap out, get organized, and start packing. Move coming up before the end of the month.

I started rooting thru my hunting gear yesterday making sure everything was there and in good repair

I have been put in charge of training Yukon guides for Shockey's outfit. Getting a tad excited about that.....

Little bit of good news during a lousy winter

That's only part of it! Spring and summer and hunting season seem to go by in the blink of an eye.

The end of third winter in mcmurray is coming.

Spent today repairing organizing and prepping summer gear. Made notes of the winter stuff to go away that needs some repair.

Looked at the quads and went, "soon."

I don't much care for this time of year either. In this area we should be having a slow melt through the week so I should be able to get some muskrat traps in next week. I have 15 funnel traps and about 60 colony traps to make this week so that'll make the week go faster I think.

Shame is a woman's emotion.

I will strut the beach shirtless, and the ladies will look at me with desire. They will see this body and think 'It took a large quantity of beer and cheeseburgers to 'build' that body. Beer is pretty pricey, and cheeseburgers aren't cheap.... he must make decent money. I wonder if he's taken?'

Well sorry ladies, I'm spoken for.
