long as they all fit in your safe.

and you don't have to get a loan to buy them.

and you're not a psychopath.

other than that, so many guns, such little time

Default 5 - 10 - more......

Depends!

I think this number will change over ones lifetime. I know I still want one more firearm in my cabinet now.

That's like asking what size TV is too big, or how much horsepower is too much?

Take the number of guns that you have and then add one. Then repeat!

Nine is one too many you need 8 not including rimfires to shoot anyway unless you have a lot of time. I have several too many and not being one to gloat over my guns i should get rid of some. Some may disagree with my number and im not drawing myself a line in the sand or anything. Glad beeguy thinks i dont have enough guns

When you run out of room then there's too many. So make more room and then you're fine!

Just keep buying - you'll know when it's too many. I been buying for 40 years and I still haven't found out what the number is.

Or ask your wife - she'll definitely give you a number... but you'd be better off not going there.

Myob and do what feels right to you - there is no reason to have to worry about what makes "too many guns" unless you're an anti-gun activist looking to make some new and worthless restrictions on the rest of us.

If you can afford it then you can buy it. If you are using credit to buy firearms you won't use, then you probably have too many. Otherwise don't worry about it.

When catnthehat looks at you, scratches his head and goes, "geez, you've got an awful lot of guns ..."

Yup, that sounds about right. But I have a deal with Cat, to never quesiton how many guns I have.....

Just picked up a Sig in the mail today, and made a deal on another wheel gun, a model 19 that has never had a round through it. I was so sad at the thought, I had to get it, just to let it live before the End of the World....haha.

So there is such a thing as a stupid question.

If you ask a wife you will get a number so low that it will corrupt the data and the results to your research will be inconclusive.

I would never embbarass another gun crank like that - they would start saying to each other , " Ah, here comes Mr. Pot, Mr. kettle"!

4.

Only need one rimfire, one shotgun and one high power. And even then I can only shoot one at a time. A gun is just a tool, not an obsession.

When my father died he had a collection of over 100 antique winchesters and 40 modern firearms. (The guns were all sold so don't even ask.)
They became a headache and a worry to the family. I wouldn't put that stress on my kids and their families.

I don't own anything I don't shoot, my guns and other fishing equipment are the least of my wife's worries!
