that those 5000$ signs saying slower traffic stay right don't pertain to them

Speed, for the most part is not the killer, the differential is. The fines for driving 20 under should be twice as much as far as I am concerned. The donkey leading the parade causes more wrecks than the guy trying to maintain 10 over, my favs are the ones that majically find the gas pedal as soon as they hit a passing lane.
For what its worth, the speed is set at a limit that everyone can maintain, from the fuzzy nutted teens to the blue haired cronies, and I'm quite aware of the fact that my abilities to control my vehicle are far better, at least for the next few years. Jump on anybody you want, especially over the net, but you don't have a sniff of anyones driving ability, yet feel free to tell them at what speed they are safe.
Distracted driving .. how about the gestapo themselves... I'm sorry, but no amount of training makes it safe to run the cruizers laptop and drive, something I've seen many times.

The farm hand I worked with out Yahk way would pass the logging rigs on the shoulder or thread the needle. In retrospect maybe he had a death wish, but he almost got that wish one day when some trucker almost ran us right into Moyey lake if that trucker would have killed us would that have made him right for doing it?
got my class 1 with air about 19-20 years ago was told then and someone else posted it as well B.C. = bring cash!!!

Just another reason to stay out of BC. Montanna/Idaho are nicer, treat their tourists like gold, and aren't a bunch of socialists.
We just planned out our annual motorcycle trip for the summer, and this year, we be touring Idaho, and Montana , and staying out of B.C..We find better customer service, lower prices, for meals and accommodations in the USA. B.C. will not get any of our money this summer.

It also seems that the general feeling in B.C. is that Albertans are fat oil pigs with remarkably deep pockets and should be exploited whenever and wherever possible. I have heard from many people that vehicles sporting Alberta plates seem to get more attention from the RCMP.

They sure don't seem to mind though when someone with an Alberta plate shows up to look at their recreational property that's for sale.

The ones i see speeding in Alberta usually are sporting those Green and white plates. I think they are learners or probational driver plates.
everyone in Sask seems to have one.

Well since the plates are only on the back..... I guess they are catching the officers attention be going a wee bit too fast eh?

That ain't just BC.

It's much cheaper to have fun in the USA period! And BC could give a tinkers damn about your money It's not like we get the equalization payments Quebec does.

The fact that there is no plate on the front is what makes a vehicle stand out as an Albertan's. 117 in a 100 and license plate on front.....carry on. 117 and no plate on front............power turn and lights on.

I agree with you on this. I was following a couple of trucks that would speed up to 90 and slow down to 70. When I hit the first place I could safely pass on a long straight stretch I did. I'll a bit of fuel to the fire here, I do think think there is a big cash grab here because if the ticket is paid with 30 days of issue there is a $25 discount. With that in place it would cost me more to drive to cranbrook to fight it than what the ticket cost. How's that for an incentive to roll over and take it?
