Antarctic ice growing. i remember it was only a few years ago that some large shelf broke up and let a lot ice go.

isn't the arctic also losing ice? so during the last warming period were both poles gaining ice, or was one pole growing and the other shrinking?

the paradox Sundance is the more we discover, the less we realize what we actually know.

doesn't change the fact that industrial co2 emissions also come with other toxins and footprints with lasting effects.

a failed model isn't a failed theory, it still adds data for study.

Overall I have little environmental guilt. By not having kids I'm putting an end once and for all to my contribution to all the ills of the world. What are you doing about global warming? Do you have kids? If so your part of the problem.

Why is it folks like you who assume that because people don't buy into all the global warming stuff you assume they don't care about the earth. I know lots of people who don't buy into the GW paranoia yet they are some of the most earth friendly, environmentally responsible concerned folks there are.

If the children are so concerned about the environment why is it every generation of them when they grow up they always consume more resources than the generation before them?

Yup. Antarctic ice is growing...has been since the 70's.

http://www.theguardian.com/environme...ice-expedition

Calving sheets is natural...occurs every year.

The recent global warming scientific expedition that got trapped in all the ice tried to follow the same path as explorers 100 years ago. They could not because the ice increased so much over the years.

Arctic ice is making a recovery now also. All of it is just natural changes scientists are now just realizing has a huge link to ocean currents and their natural cycles.

I like how you didn't refute my last 3 points.

I theory that can't be proven is a costly bottomless pit of guesses.

Yes...removing real pollution is a great thing. I am all for that. CO2 is not a pollution. I agree let's focus on the real pollution.

Yes...climate research at least is getting studied. Too bad it is so biased and constantly looking for excuses to blame phantom made made global warming.

It is funny at the same time how global warmist are wrong time and time again and keep thinking up new hair brain reasons to blame CO2.

I see the focus shifting away from CO2 and focusing on other man made factors. deforestation and urbanization are culprits to a potential cause of warming micro climates which impact macro climates in turn effecting global climate.

it's part of a plot scheme dredged up by the plutocrats to keep us common folk looking the other way imo. ever see the Rothschild's book about how to survive global warming with the polar bear on tip toes on a tiny chunk of ice for a cover?

The actual science behind AGW.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/larrybel...tory-lesson-2/

“It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class…involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, ownership of motor vehicles, golf courses, small electric appliances, home and work place air-conditioning, and suburban housing are not sustainable…A shift is necessary toward lifestyles less geared to environmentally damaging consumption patterns”. Maurice Strong, former CEO of Petro Canada, friend of Trudeau, Power Corp, and general UN muckity muck.

When a politician tells you to think of the children....check your wallet.

But, make sure you do read the whole article.

I think Attenborough like Suzuki, Al Gore and the rest of the whole Global warming crowd have contributed tons of hot air to the problem.

I'm still waiting for spring for things to warm up.

More food for thought...a refutation of Lovejoy's paper. As soon as I read his claim of "99% certainty, and more likely 99.9%" I smelled a snake oil huckster. Anyone with even a rudimentary understanding of statistics and basic science would know that is a load of bullcrap when someone makes a claim like that regarding 500 years of temperature measurements. Funny.

So because its a university study you associate it with David Suzuki et al., therefore its useless?

you could also get your information from http://www.collective-evolution.com/ if you like.

scientists and universities have used the alarmist rhetoric to get grant money, from the plutocrats who want their socialist paradise within the next few generations. don't buy into it.

Rather than irrationally calling into question the sources, why don't you refute the facts presented therein?

do your homework. the idea of AGM stems from a paper published in the 1800s which observed co2 trapping heat in a controlled setting. fast forward a 100 year's and that study is poorly transfered to earths atmosphere which despite is similarities is not a controlled setting it is a self sustaining adaptable system. now follow the money in a scientific manner. it will lead to some unlikely trusts, funds, think tanks and institutions created by some of the richest people and families on the planet...

just like the right left paradigm has been used to keep people distracted while an overwhelmingly large portion of the worlds money, the grease that keeps everything going, is concentrated into the hands of a few through events such as the crash of '29 and two world wars followed by a so called "cold war" AGM is being used to return the world to a fuedal state under the guise of a New World Order. writing is on the wall in fat bold block letters so big you need to step back and take a good look at the whole thing.

now excuse me, I need to turn my tinfoil hat inside out.

^^^^How true.

GOOD scientists review all the facts and data before drawing a conclusion.

So far, much of what I have seen from the global warming community is the ignoring and covering up of facts and data that do not concur with their personal opinions and agendas.

read the art of war, and the prince, study game theory. then look into the nature of conquest, assimilation and empire, follow that with the study of history and law from the time of Charlemagne and finish with the history of banking and the fractional reserve system. when you're all done with that study religions and philosophers, specifically what they say on Usury and social conduct.
now consider the concepts of dynasties and legacy, concepts not fully appreciated by those who are not apart of one. now with our amazing capacity for associative thought ponder all that you just learnt. we might be on the same page when you're done, probably not since I left out the general history and evolution of man, mental illness; specifically psycopathy, governance and the concepts of freedom and independence in how they relate to governance and control. oh let's not forget psychology of the masses and propaganda.

AGM is just a single prong, there are several other movements within our society and the world at play. you never put all your eggs in one basket.

still gonna debate on things from either side of the coin, it keeps me sharp. now I can turn my hat back the right way.

Seems like when scientists needed funding and global cooling was the wind of choice at the time... cooling climate was studied to cause more extreme weather.

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2014/03/1...treme-weather/

So now that warming pays the bills...global warming causes extreme weather.

The joke is on us however...as weather comes naturally with extremes and everything in between.

Global sea ice area well above average.

Antarctic ice setting records.
