Default Prized Hunting Pictures

Post pictures of your largest and most prized hunting achievements so that we can all marvel.

2008 was my first year hunting since my dad used to take me as a child. Here are some pictures of me with some of our largest pheasants so far. (Kindly ignore the sex-convict mustache).

I have 2 favorites

Overlooking the Muskwa River North of Fort Nelson In northern BC on a 7 day jet boat hunt.

Smallest deer to date but the first one I have shot while hunting with my dad, and the first kill for my Remington 700 Titanium(not the Alaskan model)

Default Muskwa River

Many memories of hunting up there many many years ago. My one friend got a 64" Bull Moose in velvet up that way. Had them mounted to the front of the barn.

Here is my most prized hunting achievement so far.

The first hunt I took my son on, It is the same area my Unlces took me to for my first real hunting trip, its very near and dear to my heart, even though there has been a fair bit of logging and oil activity. But that is Alberta for you. We called in a cow elk that followed us up the quad trail, dont know who was more surprised us or the elk

Here is a pictue with my son and the track, one day we will connect!

DANG Rackmastr that is an AMAZING bull!

Not too good at posting pics yet; but, I agree... my favourite pic is the first shootin' trip I took my sons on with their new bows. My 8 yr old hit a bull's eye with his first ever arrow, which he likes to tell people about! Serious pride for me in those days with my boys!!!

Default Son's first deer

I'll never forget that hunt. He snuck up on this deer for 45 minutes on his hands and knees through the grass. I watched it unfold 100 yards away through my binocs. It's not huge but he worked hard for it and made his old man very proud.

I have no pictures of my favorite hunting moment, other than the few that were used in a magazine article: pictures of me and my first (and till now only) ram. Digital is great if you remember to back up. :-(

It was a squeeker, but I worked hard for him.

Here are a couple of mine...

My favorite place to be in the world Spent 14 days there last fall and wish i didn't have to leave. The only thing bad about it was the smell left behind by Rick and ShedCrazy

Not a prized one of mine but one of a kind I think.

One of the best and most rewarding nights hunting was when every thing worked out and my mom killed this great buck.

Take children and woman into the outdoors and you will hook them for life.Me and my dad .

my favorite hunting spot, this is late season of course, on the Athabasca

This is my favorite dog pic that I have .
This particular bitch was a provincial and Nats champion, and sire more than a few super filed trial and hunting labs.
She was a great hunting companion for my father, and great fun and protector for me before i was ten years old...

Here are a couple of my favorite. "Prized hunting pictures" Which to me means "field photos of hunter and game" or a scenic shot of a hunting area. Not animals in a trap or antlers and such.

Me and my savage 99 with a buck.

Son, Ben with a non-trophy antelope.

My daughter with her first Pronghorn buck.

Spotlighting rabbits in Australia.

My wife and daughter out on a moose hunt.

Two wolves I called in and shot with the .300 savage.

Here are a few. Picked more for what the hunt meant than anything else.

My biggest moose. Moose are still number one for me. Big whitetails are fun too.
