Some creeks are super low indeed. I had a look at JP near sibbald flats and it was actually scarily low for late June when it's supposed to be just past its fullest. I would expect this level to be in late august, it really needs some rain to fill it up soon or it might be painful in the coming months...

As far as I've seen in the central region, there was no run-off. Or, a really small run off. Fished the South Ram last week and it was at 17 CFS which is the same level it was last year at the end of July. I usually don't bother fishing it in June but this year it is low. Red Deer river is as low as I've seen it and very fishable. Good news now but could spell bad news if temps stay up and the rain stays away.

I drove up the highway 66 to check out the upper Elbow yesterday and Canyon Creek was bone dry! I assume this isn't normal?

Elbow is also low and clear.

That part of canyon Creek is almost always dry, elbow IS very low this year, and fish did not move up, all my favorite holes are fish less, went 6 times since opening and don't have much to show for it. Some years are great, some are very slow.

I only dry fly fish this stream so that could have an effect on my score, nature is always nice around those parts.
