338 b blindee ( fn belgium mauser ? )

i recently acquired this rifle. it says cal 338 b blindee plus a bunch of symbols.ser # 3482. i was wondering about information about it and a rough guesstimate of value

B blindee I believe just means jacketed bullets in French. Belgium mauser likely. Lots around here with more knowledge on these than me. CAT!!!!!!

I agree this can be confusing... but it is probably ( 98% ) a .338 win mag.

I have heard of a B. Blindee maker in Belgium, but I have always thoiught that it meant "jacketed bullets" because i have seen a Dumoulin marked with it as well, so I doubt very much that it is a maker.

I know of no .338 cartridge other than the new wildcats and the 338Win mag myself offhand, so I would cast the chamber to see for sure.
