Default Fly fishing in fort mac

So Im up here for work and wanted to head away from fishing under the bridge for once, I tried fishing down stream of the water treatment plant but that was hec of a hike with not a lot of action on the rod. The water was mud brown, 2 days ago when I went and I was working it with a fly line.

Not asking for a honey hole or anything, but is there another typical spot like under the bridge I could get pointed to?

Or any one want to go fishing partner up here?

It has been a while but the creek on the way to Gregoire Lake has grayling. Most creeks in the area have grayling and are great fun.

The bridge to nowhere is a popular spot. Seen everything from trout 34", walleye and pike pulled of of there. Go to the east side of the bridge and fish the south shore where the small river runs into the athabasca. Great spot

I live up here, and don't fly fish much around here any more, to industrialized, grayling in the small rivers, have caught a few at supertest, house and jackfish river,
Christina river is normally a little cleaner that the main river, Jackfish and house are couple hours away and that's were I go.
But if you want some one to go explore with, drop me a PM,
the stocked trout ponds south of town are another option.

There is grayling in the hangingstone, house, horse, poplar creek... Some good dry fly fishing on any of those... sometimes it takes a while to find them, but they're there, if you're willing to hike a little.

Grayling season is short though! Get out while you can! I'm gone most of the summer, but I'd be happy to get out anytime with you as well.

I absolutely love Fort Mac! Great place to live, if you can get away from the negative people!

Ozzz
