Default jabe shotgun

does anyone have any information about jabe shotguns? my friend bought one and wants info? its a jabe 10ga side by side m252

Don't know much about them but Ii do know they are Spanish.
Side lock or box lock?

They are two complelty different tyoes of lock arangements.
the side lock has its springs and hammers built into a side plate taht is normally afixed with the screw that holds both the left and right side plates.
ususally flat springs although some are coil springs for the mains.
The box lock has its springs and hammers built inot the receiver of the gin.
At times you will also find a box lock with false side plates to make it look like a side lock .It gives more room for engraving, but that's about it- sort of like cosmetic surgery , if you know what I mean!!
here is a pic of two 28 gauge guns, a side lock and a true box lock.

I do know it was made in the Eobar dstrict of Spain, and if you give me a serial number should be able to trace its aproximate date of manufacture .
A pic of the underside of the barrels and the reciever proof marks on t water table I all I need....

Did some reserach, JABE is a short form for the company, and by the loks of it, a sub company of the Eibar Spain, bunch, as you can see by the stamp
