Marten on NAFA

So anybody checked what they got for their marten on today's sale?

Averaged $90 mine. Seemed lower than feb sale? Waiting on the coyote sale now.

Had one small marten that went for 72 which was down from Feb's sale avg of 120.

Had an ave of 171 on 4 lynx was hoping for 150 avg so did better.

Only the bottom end of the coyotes sold. Sold half and still had an avg of 46 on 15 dogs.

They held 15 top end dogs back.

Carry over to fall will be good if NAFA gets us a better price.

I got $101 avg for my marten. $45 for a fox.

I averaged $85 for my marten. Sounds like I'm in the right ballpark. Was hoping for some more but that's how it goes....

I averaged $74 on my marten with $134 top and $50 bottom. Cant complain with my first ever auction

For 14 marten I averaged $88 US. The top went for $145 a XL dark brown Select fur. Bottom was a large slightly damaged mixed color for $50 US. My 5 female fisher averaged $128 with top select pale going private treaty for $175 and a number I but 5 clarity for $76. I was happy about the marten and fisher but somewhat diappointed with the rest. Best lynx went $165 and a coyote at $78. My beaver were bought back as well as some weasels and a coyote. Surprised 4 squirrels averaged $1.60. Oh well I'll do it all again next year.

I got $ 1.60 for 6 squirrels as well. a couple didnt sell. weasels top were $6.00, was hopin for more there but thats ok. squirrels with half tail missing went for almost a buck, cant believe that.

I averaged $104.03 on this sale which is quite a bit more than the $90 I averaged last sale. I think it reflects the higher quality of the later caught marten this winter. I"m happy

Brian, about what time did you start trapping for marten? I definetly got better prices for the last couple marten I got in Jan.

I started in November but those ones hit the first sale and averaged $90. These ones would have all been Jan - Feb martens form the mountains and were heavily furred.
