I wouldn't mind seeing some of the old British shows.
Dr Findley's Casebook.
Rumpole of the Bailey.
Yes, Minister

Fawlty Towers (love anything with John Cleese)
MASH
Night Court
Friends (it's newer, but is on its way to being a classic)
Not sitcoms, but:
Rat Patrol
Man From UNCLE (got every episode on DVD)

No favourites
I'm not a big fan of TV sitcoms. The weak dime-store comedy, and annoying 'canned' laughter is always a turnoff for me.
To each, their own.

Friends.
There is a quotable Friends reference for virtually all of life's moments.

I don’t know if it was considered a sitcom. I remember “The Little Rascals” from when I was a child. Replays I’m sure as they stopped producing the show in the 40’s. After that my favorite was Petticoat Junction.

Ha! Good one. More shows are coming to mind. I had a total crush on the the brunette in That Girl, a bit of a thing for Agent 99 in Get Smart and I did Dream of Jeannie. I still remember the theme music for My Three Sons, but the ones I miss the most are Mork and Mindy, MASH and Cheers.

One thing about this thread, it's making me feel old.
So many old shows I had forgotten about.

One that I can remember and liked when I was a kid and every Friday night the whole family would sit and watch was the original Dallas.

CBC's The National. Not really a sitcom, more of a joke.

Someone mentioned Mrs Browns Boys, if you've never seen it, it's a must. The bikini wax bit was classic.
Anyone remember the British "Carry On" shows?
