what a kind fellow... just loves the bears.... wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that a high bear population would keep folks out of his grow-op

They would probably make better guard dogs than my bull mastiff. I think this guy was sampling too much of his product.

Default Fine dining...

It`s going to be really funny when some lucky bears somewhere finally end up eating this guy. What an idiot! But I guess evolution has got to happen..

"And so Piche can keep feeding dog food to the bears until November, though there’s some suggestion he’s too poor to afford the kibble." (from the Calgary Sun.....

no s&*t he will be too poor....his cash crop / annual revenue is now gone.

And the video....I can't believe he is actually trying to convince everyone that we should feel sorry for him. What he has done is truly and injustice to the bears and I agree with the statement that "the blood will be on his hands" as he should have never started feeding these bears. As for reintegrating them into the wild....they are going to want to eat every hiker that walks by who smells like kibbles and bits.

Maybe they should see if there is a zoo looking for some black bears??

You know - I really don't know what to say about this ....

I grew up in that area, I know the people who live there and I might even know some of the "Bear Dude's" family as I went to school with a couple of the Piche-clan (pronounced Pea-SHAY). People out there are different from those in the city - more laid-back, relaxed and take life as it comes - and - funky cigarettes don't have anything to do with that.

The "chicky-poo" who was held "hostage" in her home by the bears - sorry but I don't feel sorry for her at all. When I was a kid, I played in the back yard when bears felt that my front yard was a good place to hang out. I have encountered many momma bears with her cublettes and I have never had a bad experience because of it. I have more scars from falling off of mountains than I have ever got from animal attacks in the woods. I have more scars from animal attacks in the city than I ever had in the woods.

Judgin' him for havin' bears around would be like me judgin' someone in the city for havin' a Rotti or Wolf-Mix or PitBull or .... ya get the idea? Just because it ain't quite normal, doesn't make it really wrong, eh?
