Default Winter Fishing Vacation

Hello,

Looking for some where to go in the winter months to fish that is warm/tropical as i'm not aloud vacation from May 1st to Oct 15th. At this point i haven't narrowed down what species, i'm looking for ideas and charters that you have had good luck with and would recommend. Any experience, locations, good guides would be great.

Timeframe is November to end of March.

Thank you in advance.
Moe

If you're a do it yourselfer the Florida Keys are pretty hard to beat. Cheap hotels, cheap car rentals, great food. Pretty much every hotel will lend you a kayak, a trip on a party boat costs around $30 bucks, and there are a multitude of pier and bridge fishing opportunities. Literature recommending which bridges to fish, at which tides, for which species can be found at any gas station and most hotels. Be sure to try the blackened fish taco's.

Like mentioned go,to the keys.....buy your gear there....give it to a kid when you leave.....dont have to overboard on gear.....Walmart and stick to the basic gear that the locals use....not the rich locals...the ones that fish to eat not look good doing it.

Cant beat Cabo! Cheap, quick flight downs and great rates. It's called the deep sea fishing capital of the world for a reason. 20 mins from dock to lines in the water most times. I have yet to be disappointed. Red Rum Charters are great!

I'm not sure which of the Keys is cheap to stay at, certainly not Key West.
