Default Shimano Tranx and Daiwa Lexa

Does anyone here own a Tranx or a Lexa, if so please tell me how comfortable it is to fish and how it performs. Planning to buy one so please shed some info on it.

Not to familiar with the daiwa but the tranx is an incredible reel. Very comfortable to fish. Fabulous for bigger pike, musky, lakers, salmon etc. Match it up with an 8-9' loomis or st croix and you have yourself one heck of a set up. I know WSS south has them. Wait till Sunday and go have a look. All reels are 20% off for a week.

The Tranx is a great reel. I use it for allot of things and it works very well. It is not good for very light lures or finesse jigging for walleye, as I'm sure you're aware, but does a good job on just about everything else. Some other drawbacks I have found, the line guide has a tendency to ice up when ice fishing, it would also be nice to have a bait clicker and line counter on it.

All in all I love this reel; it's the best one I own but very expensive.
