i want to try fickle lake

I am thinking of trying fickle lake near Edson for perch.has anyone fished there in the last while.is it worth the 3 hr. drive to get some perch.ive gone to obed the last 2 weekends and only tiny perch.ive yet to have one taste this whole year.please help.thx.

I lived in Edson for 3 years and haven't ever heard of Fickle being a good perch fishery. I would head to Moose lake off hwy 28 near Bonnyville myself.

Fished Fickle last week and caught 4 Walleye and 3 Pike.
Wasn't targetting perch but I know the lure I was using catches Perch as I've caught them on it before.

Fickle has very small perch as in 2 inches never been a perch lake

Pike/Lake Whitefish(both big) and Walleye that you can't keep

The whitefish were jumping all over the place but I have no fly equipment.

Last time I ice fished Fickle it was quite dead. I think i got one big jack...
