classic good looks
and the boat too
been hoping to find a steel tilt trailer for my river boat, and this weekend my neighbor puts a boat and motor in his yard for sale. went over and had a look at it, saw it had a tilt trailer and barely paid attention to the boat, the price was definitely right. brought her home, and had a closer look at her. need a new floor, the paint redone, seats, and a bit more work, and Im going to be swapping trailers, but I think I am going to keep her, I think she could be actually very sweet. Have to do some research on her, thought Id post a few pics and see if anyone has had one in the past or any comments on her. Built in 1962 in Canada on the west coast.

Cool!!
But my question is about a "tilt trailer". I've never been present to see one used with the tilt. But, thinking about it, it seems it might allow one to launch and retrieve in shallower and "make believe" boat launches with a lot less muscle, "wrestling", and submersion of tow vehicle. If so, it would be great for some of our favorite places. Is that the idea?

used to have a big old Bellbouy and I could launch it off the beach pretty much. will make launching in the river in fall when its shallow a lot easier than backing out til my goodies get wet! been looking into the boat on some forums, they really are a sweet looking machine when they are restored. same company that did the panels for the corvettes. this one was made by the canadian locomotive company, havent had much luck researching that company other than the loomotives yet.
