Default Kootenay Lake/Arrow Creeks Mouths

What kinds of patterns are you guys using when you fly fish the creek mouths or creeks for that matter as well? Heading down to Arrow at the end of August.

Any advice is appreciated.

Cool

× 2 on the flying ant. as the summer progresses smaller ants will produce better.
sz 10 coachman or a dark soft hackle under an indicator can also be a killing pattern. my method is to cast into the current, mend out the remaining fly line. this lets the fly swim in the current. good luck, hold fast. jigs will pull bullies out of deeper water at the creek mouths. green and white, green and yellow.
