Default PEX to poly-b question

Need to do a PEX to poly-b coupling. There were no Sharkbite couplings in stock (natch) so I picked up a Waterline PEX x PB coupling kit instead. Just want to make sure I'm remembering this right - the wider side of the coupling with more ridges and the copper crimp ring go to the poly-b, right?

I'm about 98% but just want to confirm.

If you could get the poly-b side of the coupling into the pex tubing I'd like to see it! Hawken had it already though. I'm careful to minimize bending of the poly-b, I don't trust that stuff one iota.

Decent pro's don't use sharkbites. I've only ever used them as temporary solutions, any I've put in I've also already removed.

X2 on the sharkbites, I don't trust em. Keep a few on hand for emergency situations though.

Default PEX to poly-b question

Home hardware seems to be the only place I could find the Sharkbite Poly-b to pex fittings in stock. Picked up a few in the Morinville location for emergencies.

I only use the sharks (and similar unionized designs)on non pressure apps like drain lines off appliances, small psv's discharges that go to a floor drain.
the union allows for easy mods.
Poly-b makes me nervous too.
I'm a real fan of the aquarise line from ipex.
