Parking near NAIT
I attend NAIT for 2 months starting Monday. I do not know the city well and a buddy said parking is brutal. Does anyone know of a decent parking area within walking distance of NAIT? Or does someone live within a walking distance of NAIT that would want to make a few bucks by letting me park during the day?
Student parking passes sold out fast so I am out of luckon that front

Good old Kingsway Garden Mall...lol Be a bit of a walk....just be aware they patrol the parking lots there watching for NAIT students.
There is the always meter parking at NAIT campus. Been a few years since I graduated....1992. First year had to pay in the meters...run outside and plug in more lonnies.... 2nd year I was able to get a parking pass. Not cheap either way being a student.

Parking was horrible but they took out the old L anix building to put in a multi level parkade. Not sure if it is finished yet.
There is always Kingsway mall just make sure you avoid the mall security leaving your vehicle or you may end up with a ticket. There is also parking at the value village just north on 118th ave. If you can find any you can park on the street by 106st and 119ave area.

Don't do Kingsway! They're on top of that stuff! Just get to school early enough and get a spot! Gives you plenty of time to study!

You can park in the parkade or one of the parking lots, I think it was about 8/9 bucks a day. I'd recommend against kingsway as they were patrolling hard when I was there in Jan/Feb and a ticket is pretty crappy.
A lot of the guys I went with were parking across from EPCOR which was a little North of the school, and was only a 5-10 minute walk so it wasn't to bad.

When I went to nait all 3 years I was in the early class, and there was always plenty of meter parking on the north side of campus.

I teach at NAIT and parking is very tough. This year I'm riding the bus and it is fine. What apprenticeship program are you in? Send me a PM if desired.

LRT parking usually has a spot or two if you get there around 8, or the parking right across from the HP center under the pedway. After 8:30am all bets are off.
Kingsway but you have to go in the mall then out a different entrance or Security will get yah. Best to go move it partway through the day if you have a moment.
Parking is crap. You have heard correctly. May be worth parking nearby and bussing or taking the LRT

Don't park at the Kingsway, they will get you sooner than later.
What's your main concern? $ or the walking distance?
Either way, if you come early - there are few free parking spots (very few I might add) and you can pick where you wanna park if you don't mind paying for it. The least resistance - is the parkade, never full from what I saw. $9/day.
If you wanna save few $ and be sure about parking - pick the bus route and park somewhere along the way, and bus to NAIT. Adult monthly bus pass is what now? $90 or so? Just about covers 2 weeks of parking at the parkade.
Another reason for bussing - new LRT made it hell of the traffic. With the bus is somewhat easier.

Best bet is to get there early and pay to park in one of the two parkades or a surface parking lot. Stay away from Kingsway, they will get you. If you are early enough there is a north south road north of campus that goes along the old airfield and west of the A/B parkade where you can park for free but it fills up fast.

We had a branch store in Kingsway.
First they ticket (and record your license).
After the 2nd or 3rd time you're caught they tow.
Better to walk and extra couple of blocks.

Bussing is not an option as I may have work lined up for everyday after school so I need my car close as I stay in St.Albert
If I have to walk a bit than that is fine aswell, if I have to pay, than oh well lol.
Just figured I would see what options are out there but it sounds like not to many.

My son is in evening Steam Lab class.
He pays $5 in any lot there, even the Instructor parking lots.
A lot more controlled in daytime tho.
