No extension needed, but a shovel is! There is easily 12-16 inches of snow. Some hard, some soft. It's tough going, try to stick to a trail or bring snow shoes. So if you shovel down the snow, the ice is around 24-26". Lots of water too because of the weight of the snow.

Fishing is the same as usual. Hot times and slow times but should be able to get a couple.

was there on the weekend....up to 16 inches of snow (get the snow shoes) and up to 4 inches of water under snow....
ice is just over 25 inches, no extension needed, but cut it fast - when water gets in the hole - it`s a nightmare to drill

Is the snow hard enough to stay on top with snowshoes? or at least on top of the water? Or would u be sinking in a foot with snowshoes as well.

I didn`t have snowshoes, but I think they will work well.

Is there a special fishing license required because it's in a park?
