That last pic. looks like the base? I say this because you look as cold as I felt hunting there this year. If so , what season did you hunt? Congrats on the nice animals. Never taken a bull elk, they seem to be my nemesis. Maybe next year.

Looks like possibly some nasty packing involved with the elk? Congrats on a great season.

Yeah that is my dad and i the packout was heavy and long but still enjoyable in it's own way haha
yeah that was the base i was there in the first season. we saw lots of and tons of moose, the first day we had elk everywere around us that was my first time there put on alot of miles on foot

I thought that looked like the base.I was there for primitive, and I had a blast , can't wait to go back. were the deer # still good in first season? Some guys were saying they didn't see much. But I think if you got out in the bush and servived the cold you still did ok.We saw a few brutes, but didn't connect on anything bigger than about 110.

Yeah there were deer all over the place lots of does my last day out there we chased a huge wt all over the place, i agree if you got out of the truck and put on the miles they were there. i remember sitting there watching a truck drive by a herd of 10 deer and 2 moose within 45 yards from him and dident even see them
