Default Unanswered questions from the critter tracks....

Well I am probably going to get my pee-pee slapped for digging up a grave, but oh well you only go around once. I feel obligated to answer a few questions for you guys.

[QUOTE=choclab]rocky in posty #22 I believe the track we are looking at is straight north of your glove, if someone can enhance that pic to get a better look that would be cool. other than that, I was just wondering if that was the only pic you had, what people would think it was. Thanks T[QUOTE]

choclab pm me your email address and I will send you the original two pics. Then you can get a better look at them for both mine and your interest.

[QUOTE=sheephunter] I tried bumping the contrast but it's hard to get any more detail and it's hard to tell which track goes with which but if the ones I circled go together and it's walking stage left or right...then it's a canine for sure but I'm not certain those tracks go together.....and help Dan? [QUOTE]

If my memory serves me correct I think that you have three of the four tracks circled. I believe there is a track directly inline with on the left and the far right. I think the one you have circled and is slightly out of line wasn't a track. When I get home tonight I will email you the original picture and maybe on our own we can decipher what we got going here.

[QUOTE=sheephunter]Ah, some of us just love a good mystery dog...what part of BC did you run bears in? Kind of makes cat hunting look like an afternoon stroll! What did you have for hounds?[QUOTE]

Hopefully Bluedog gets back to you on this. I would like to here a few stories from a ex-cat man.

I curently own two Bluetick hounds and my brother has a Bluetick and a Redbone. I hunt bears with my brother who lives south of Prince George.
Last year we seen 34 bears in 7 days. the first three days we chased 5 bears only treeing two. Had old Slue Foot bayed up on a steep 40 ft river bank but when we got in close for a shot he bailed off the river bank into the river. Three of the dogs went over after him and were swept down stream.
Bear hunting with hounds is very exciting to say the least.
Sheep I live in Benchlands and cat hunt every chance I can.

Ya, no question it is exciting...I was on a chase one time with 11 plotts...now that was mayhem.

Well no question you live in the middle of some great cat country! Biggest track I've ever seen in my life was up the South Ghost!
