Let us know what booth and what he is selling .

My friend & I are going sunday am. I want to chat with a Sask fishing lodge. Seem's silly to throw away stupid $$$ for parking and walk around 3 pavilions of boats I will never be in. Its like a moth to a bright light, I know I shouldn't waste the cash but keep going anyways. Where else you going to get a bunch of vendors in one spot.

Maybe silly question. Does anyone know of any free tickets or discounts with a WIN card like years prior? Thanks for any help.

I am just going to stay home just not feeling the cost of fuel, entry, parking and crowds right now

It just seems like the last shows I was at didn’t offer much for deals compared to just ordering the items or shopping at the store

It’s actually $16.50 posted price for parking! I asked the lady what happened with a $5 parking? She laughed historically and asked me when have I been here last time, lol! I said in 2010…
As for the show, there is a huge section with nothing but boats…. Then another hall with some seadoos, more smaller boats. Then another hall with some camping trailers, hot tubs etc.
And then the actual fishing and hunting hall. That’s where we spent most of the time. Bought some raffle tickets. Talked to a few vendors from different fishing outfits in BC and Saskatchewan. Ate very tasty hotdog from some Hungarian guy.
Visited the SKRE dealer, very nice clothes! They have a 20% off deal going there.
There was a guy talking, telling his story about surviving the grizzly bear attack…. Hole poop was that scary even to listen to him and looking at him, his scars etc….
Anyhow, it was pretty good show I think, we enjoyed it. Not too many people either since it was Friday night.
As for parking, we didn’t pay for it. We were leaving the place right after 9pm and the workers just flagged us thru without asking for payment….

Forgot to add: I think I insulted the fish and wildlife officer…. I was walking thru the rows of tables and came across the table with a whole bunch of hides and furs etc very nice display, the guy dressed in uniform said hi to me I said hi to him and then I asked him: “ Are you guys dressed for the show or what?” He said no, that’s his uniform.. I looked up and I was standing in front of the Alberta Fish and Wildlife booth… I apologized , told him I didn’t realize that they actually have a booth here and didn’t see the sign until the last moment, thought it’s some kind of a trapper display…

That's Willy.
You should have bought his Hungarian sausage to take home.
The hot dogs are made by my Uncle John, Kastelen Sausage in Ardrossan.

I got no more money to spend, gotta safe up for cash deals only.

I don’t think they will have a 1970’s 9.9 on the back of a 12 foot tinnier for 500 bucks

I just can't be bothered to make the trip, then pay the ridiculous parking fees, on top of the high entrance fee and fuel cost.

You can buy one of those electric bikes that are selling at the show, ride that puppy and don’t worry about fuel, parking etc…..

I still have my amazing deer garlic sausage left from K&K here… but yes, his sausages are very tasty and the hot dog was delicious.

Cost me $10 bucks so I suppose it was worth it. I am 61 so 2 bucks off the $12 dollar senior rate when you show a WIN card. I parked a few blocks away for free and walked. It was much like other years.

Might go there with the kiddos after hockey tomorrow morning. We have a booth there for buildings this year. First year we have put a booth in.

I worked the past couple days of the show and I would say that it is a better show than last year, so hoping it keeps getting better. No more tow boats at the show (except a couple), so the boats you see are pretty well all fishing and pontoon boats.

And the Win card still saves you a couple bucks. Not much you can do about parking, but on the extreme south end there are sometimes some free spots outside the main parking lots. They fill up fast though and you need to walk some distance.

If you do come, stop by the Princecraft boats and say hi to myself and my son. I always love chatting with folks. Thanks to those that have stopped in already.

Ended up going with family tonight. While still a far cry from the huge shows in the past, there was plenty to keep me entertained.

This year there were more of the small and off-road camper units on display, which was great. Was good to see some of the overlanding stuff in person.

I wish there were more budget-friendly fishing boat setups there. But definitely some nice stuff to look at.

I was hoping to check out some of the Honda SXS's, as Incredigirl and I were hoping to do a bit more trail riding this year. Just something basic, like a 500 or a 700. Nothing caught my eye.

Bought garlic sausage at Kastelin (buffalo, of course!) got a new bugling tube and reeds at Wapiti River, chatted with the great guys at the APA booth, and picked up a new rangefinder at Prophet River. Bought a raft of raffle tickets, always great to support the local clubs and charities. Took a turn at the pellet rifle booth (we have a deal that the lowest score buys supper).

Could have spent more time and money there, but had enough for one evening. We enjoyed ourselves.

Just got back from the show.
It was better than last year's for sure.
The $250k + stuff is gone, replaced by stuff someone might actually buy.
Nice to see boats have come down a bit.
Bumped into a bunch of people, ate some food, had a good time.
Also nice to see more local hunting related booths there. I think even the great dually-meister himself was there.
Only item I bought was a speck call from Slayer, but there were several other deals that I walked by.
Definitely getting better.
