Default Big Bill wool clothing info needed

I'm looking at buying a Big Bill jacket, looking to go with one of the 2 jackets below. I cant find them anywhere to see the 2 wools in person.

16oz merino wool hunting outdoor jacket (461mer)

24 oz wool hunting outdoor jacket (461cab)

Looking for something I can use for early archery sits, late archery still hunting, on it's own. And also as a outer layer in a system for colder weather for everything. I like the idea of the 24 oz heavier wool, but I'm worried it will be too bulky for archery. Look forward to hearing back.

I have this Jack Shirt that I bought from https://eglifarm.com/collections/jackets this fall because they had a better selection of sizes.

I have worn these Jack Shirts for decades. They last about 20 years of regular wear. The jacket is perfect for a car coat. They are NOT very wind resistant though. I originally planned to also order one of the jackets like you are looking at but it only has a one way zipper. No way to undo the bottom of the coat when sitting in a stand. The 24 ounce will not be too bulky. The 17 ounce Jack Shirt I have feels like a slightly thicker Flannel shirt. The Jack Shirt fits quite large and has lots of room to put a couple of layers of clothes underneath without binding in the shoulders or arm pits.

The archery jacket looks perfect. But I would like the option of taking off the arm guard because it would also be a every day working outside jacket. But I might look more at that route. Looks not as bulky.

^^I will second what Dean2 said about the red plaid jac-shirt.
I have the merino wool jacket. IMO it is a Spring-Fall jacket, it is not wind resistant. When moving, it is reasonably comfortable to -5C on a calm day. Layered with the plaid jac-shirt, it is an effective combination to -10C on a calm day. However, I wouldn't be sitting still for any extended length of time at that temperature. Obviously, people have different temperature tolerances, YMMV
It would be improved with the addition of a 2-way zipper and an interior pocket.

In hindsight, I should have bought the 24oz wool jacket, or ordered the Filson 26oz plaid Mackinaw
