I'm happy with it for sure. This is why I went with the Volt Yukon Limited:

Rad Rover 5/Volt Yukon 750 Limited
500W hub motor/750W hub motor
48V 14 ah battery/48V 16.5 ah battery
no helmet/includes DOT helmet
no rear rack/includes rear rack
mechanical disc brakes/hydraulic disc brakes
$1999/$2049

I added 2 x panniers and a front rack

Awesome reply, thank you for taking the time to type that out for me and adding in a pic. I am going to order one this week.

Default Bike hunting. rifle carry advice needed.

So I have a rocky mountain Blizzard Non E-fat bike with 4 inch tires. Ive been trying to get a good carry system going for the rifle. Ive carried it on a hunt for about 40 Km and the backpack sling on the back really starts to hurt after about 20 KM. Ive mounted a rear rack on the bike and really would like to get the rifle off my back.
Ive looked at the rambo gear carrier and its not available in Canada and has terrible reviews.
I looked at the Cogburn Gear carrier. It had good reviews and they are out of business now.
I looked at the Montana Scabbard and it just looks different.
A also looked at the Rhino Grips XLR to mount on the handlebar and I just don't trust them. Looking for some good ideas for rifle carry.

I love riding and scouting. Ive done 2 40km scouts and 1 80KM scout and 1 160km fatbike trip.

I can put a pannier on one side of the bike for gear. Will wear a camelback for water. Just need a good spot for a rifle.

Thanks.

When I started hunting using Mountain bikes 30 years ago there were no specialty gear for them. We used regular horse scabbards tied to the bike to carry our rifles. They worked just fine and were easy to find. Just had to be careful not to lay the bike on the scabbard side.

Not mine but similar idea.

Thanks much. I have to check the spacing on the downtube and the cranks.

Also of note is that you need to keep pedaling even on the downhills. If not your freewheel starts making a racket and scares the game. I scared the crap out of myself and three whitetails that were about 20 meters away when I stopped pedaling.

That is odd. My electric has a Yamaha crank mounted motor, standard Shimano deraileur, it make zero noise when I stop peddling. My previous non-E bikes didn't make noise when I stopped peddling. You said your isn't an Ebike so I am at a loss as to what would be causing the noise when you quit peddling. You might want to see if that is normal.

It is totally normal. It is just the freewheel spinning.
