Default damn dogs

Not to sure how to handle this but I g0t a rental 2018 dodge ram. This guy at the horse track here in lethbridge let his two dogs run loose and in doing so they scratched both sides of this rental truck tying to get to my dogs and it doesn't even have a 1000 km on it.WTF. I got with security hand had them fill out an incident report. I be heading back there tomorrow to confront him. I think there's going to be a problem as I will show him the scratch marks.

Well Bobby in today's world there's those that do and those that don't. This guy don't discipline his dogs. He is a lazy pet owner and to which there is no shortage of. He probably won't fix your truck but to save the rest of us a problem and a little self satisfaction you could grab him by the ear so he hears you properly. While you got him by the ear 2 swift kicks in the taint should get him to pay attention. Do this every 15 mins until his ear falls off or his dogs behave. The good thing is that he's got 2 ears.

Be a do'er Bobby.

In all truthfulness I hope he's a stand up guy and he'll make things right.

good luck with that. i'll make the prediction that after you talk with the dodge folks your insurance will be paying for a paint job.

I would try to get the guy to cough up but it is a rental. Just get a different truck. If the rental company claims for the scratches the CDW rental insurance or your credit card if you used that and waived CDW will cover the repair. No effect on your insurance rates.

If it is a lease and not a rental then whole different discussion. Guy coughs or I would make a claim against his insurance.

I'm on your side but if you didn't have pics of my dogs doing the scratching I'd bid you adios muchachos.

Unless you can collect some dna from his dogs and the scratches of course. Then it's game on.

Did you take the all in Ins package on the rental? I was told it covered all damages when I rented a F150. 30 mins into my trip I got a poppy sized rock into the windshield. Told them about it on my return and they seen I had the full coverage Ins package and said have a nice day. When inquirering about the rental they said it would even cover a crash so I assume it would cover scratches from a dog.

Hope it works out for ya

Default Dogs

Before you confront him, go back with your dogs in the truck so his dogs do more scratching but have your camera ready. Then you have evidence!!!

wouldn't even let my dog in a rental truck,a scratch is a scratch. Just asking for trouble.
