Please pick a breed that fits your lifestyle
So.....another young dog headed for the pound because the ppl thought it was cute and didn't look at the breed traits.(A lady here at work)
Obtained from the Humane society here in Edmonton. By the way, when you get a dog from them they force you to sign up for THEIR classes, which are, to me, not the best or even close. They teach "down" when a dog jumps up. Sorry "down" means "down", not "off". But whatever.
In this case the puppy has a lot of Border Collie. Great breed...for those that know the breed and the amount of energy and stimulation, both phsical and mental that they normally require.
There are several sites that have questioniere's that will give you a pretty good idea what breed would most probably fit into "your" lifestyle including the CKC site.
Although I am a firm believer in buying from a reputable breeder, it's good to see ppl adopting, but ....please do some research before you get a dog so you don't end up putting it down after 6 months. Somebody that actually knows what this guy was going to be like might have ended up giving him a good home.
