Hey, two points is just what the doctor ordered! Now if the Bruins can feed the Sharks a loss tonight it's gonna be even better!

Thats the exact shot that can not go in and we expect to win. Seems when that happens, the other side just seems to get luckier and work a bit harder.

No matter what Kelly says, that was not a blistering shot. I kinda thought it was almost a floater.
Sorry guys but I disagree....That was a hard back hand shot and nicely placed...

It certainly was, but I think Smith needs to stop some of those hard well placed shots on occasion. The big timely save, as it were.

In fairness, he has looked better the last few games, more composed.

Something is wrong with your TV...

The only thing missing from that shot was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow trajectory it followed.

LOLOLOLOL

That was 100 % a stop to most goalies.

He is looking more feisty and the end results are helping him climb the trade ladder.

Perahaps we will have a scenario that sees the winner keep playing?

Once again Jamie, I disagree....

Yeah, Smith maybe should have made that save but still a pretty good backhand close to the right top corner....

Just a question here but if Valemaki gets better and is good to go, what do you do? Pairs are working pretty good. He's been out a long time. Do you put him back in?
Islanders up next, that's a big test for us. Play like they did the Pens and were good

Valemaki an upgrade on Kylington defensively, could be important come playoffs. Or one of them & a pick as trade bait?

Most teams going deep in playoffs need more than the 6 or 7 defenceman. The more the better.

Flames fans can thank the refs for San Jose only getting 1 point. 2 brutal calls led to the Bruins tying goal and the OT winner.

Hell of a game other than that.

Seen that, crazy reffing as of late. We have had some bad calls go our way so i will take a couple of whack calls to buy us some breathing room..

Pretty sure that the fans of every team think that the refs are costing them games.

For sure there are lots of strange calls and non-calls.
Not sure if any one team is disadvantaged more than any other.

Smith starting again tonight, man I hope they dont leave Ritter out of games to long here. I tell yeah I'm getting an uneasy feeling here with Ritter now that Smith is back in starter roll.

I have every confidence that Smith will be exposed tonight. They aren't playing a bottom 10 team in the league this time.

Agree. I expect he let's in a couple on the first six or eight shots. I hope I'm wrong. If I'm right, I hope Peters doesn't give him 5 goals before he gets pulled....please Bill....

Probably the most solid first period this year for the Flames. Great hustle, and passing like the old Wings....great to watch!

Shots 12-3, two goals on a very stingy team....gotta like that.

I hate to say it, but I'm starting to not be terrified when Smitty starts! That was a really good important save he made, he handled the puck smartly even if he did only face 3 shots.
