Thumbs up A super feel good story for Alberta & Saskatchewan

Kandi Wyatt is a boxer who lives in Alberta with roots in Saskatchewan and has just been offered a WBO Title fight in Greece.

Maybe an amateur too long ? Seems like the physical competition & the mental strength to win it all starts early. DeWitt was a victim of this, wanting his Olympic shot while his peers were already pro, IMO. Journeyman team sport athletes almost never pinnacle, so it seems. Individual sports maybe different.

Best of luck to her!

she's only been pro for a short while 8-0-0. if you get a chance to see her box, it's pretty good imo. a WBO title fight is no small potato.

something better to cheer than yanks in the ufc

Certainly, check my stand-alone final comment.

The other contender is only 10-1 though, not sure the momentous nature of 2 gals with less than 20 pro fights between them.

I hope she TKO the other gal first minute.

I phoned up her promoters and they're working on it, said it's kinda tough with broadcast rights and of course money.

and roper, I wasn't trying to come off as combative, so much doom and gloom and yankee everything in the news, just nice to cheer on one of our own.
