Sometimes your goalie has to win it for you. Smart move not playing same goalie on a back to back game.

Great “grind it out” game and a big two points. NICE!
Big night for Koskinen. How was he not the first star?

Good question, should have been first star not 3rd.

Kosk stole that one for you, but they all count. Oil are on a roll.

Not a fan of Athanasiou. They would be a better team with him still in Detroit. Hopefully he is playing not fully healthy as right now it does not look good.

Great win, Kos stole that game for us which makes it a team win, Athanasea needs to stay out of the box, 2 lazy penalties in the 3rd could have cost us the 2 points, the boy's are rolling, perfect time of year to get on a roll, hope they stay on that roll

King Leon and McJesus held to a single point each. Slow night.
Nuge still on a roll!

Why Not? Depends how long he plays I guess. If he stays reasonably healthy until He's 30 I don't think it'll be much of a problem. Best player the league has seen in a long, long time.

Gotta give him some more time. Probably 10-20 games at least. Gotta remember we he came from. Playing in Detroit he did not have the same urgency as they were so far gone. He has the skill set but the coaching staff will have to be on him and work him hard to get him up to speed. Hopefully by April he’s rolling with the rest of the group.

Koskiwin dominated last night! Gutted out the win when 5 on 5 the Oilers weren't stellar. Special teams dominate the league this year.

A great two-way player. Nuge has quietly become the 5th leading points guy since January 1.

Awful reffing. Benn takes a high stick openly and no call. Then with less than 3 mins left in the third of a 1-1 game, they call Larsson on a high sticking call after a hard bodycheck? Woof.

I would have to agree. Let not get clouded and start planning the parade route.
The Oil has 15 games to go and needs to keep their foot on the gas right through the finish line. That was FAR from domination, it was a full team win. Kosk stood on his head to keep the team in it when they were being outplayed, and when the boys up front got a sniff, they took advantage and put it away. Years past the Oil would have lost these types of games. They are really showing some fight and it sure is awesome to finally see. I really think these guys are smelling blood in the water and can finally see themselves in the post season. I for one CAN'T WAIT!!!
I remember a meer couple years ago, Jamie made a comment about "Coasting to the play-offs". They coasted all right, straight down the bowl and was on the outside after the dust settled. Was a glorious time!!! Made for great chirping......

Ya that was brutal. Both those were unbelievable for exactly opposite reasons. I hate hacking on the refs as the game is sooooo fast now that I can't imagine how difficult that job is, but sometimes you just smash your head into the wall watching that....

Interesting stats and video
That the team with most PP opportunities (Vancouver) have the third best PP? That seems reasonable.
That the team with the 2nd most PP opportunities (Boston) have the second best PP? That also seems reasonable.
That the team with the 19th most PP opportunities (Edmonton) yes that is the 19th most opportunities with the two top forwards in the NHL including the fastest have the best PP?

I seen a similar video on Sid the kid and the non calls. Amazing what those guys put up with and to their credit they rarely complain to or about the officiating.

Blackhawks tonight should be a little more exciting than Dallas. Neal back up with McDavid. AA on the fourth with JJ up the middle and Chasser on The other wing. Sure hope we don’t UNDERACHIEVE tonight. GO OIL GO !!!!
