Default Where To Buy Old Car Heater/Air Conditioning Motor?

I am looking for an old car heater or air conditioning motor. Where do you think I could get one in the Calgary area? I don't want to buy a brand new one. It is not for a car, I am going to make something out of it. Also of any of you guys have one let me know. Thanks

Used to be Pick a Part, but has a new name that escapes me, right now. Get off Barlow Trail at 90 st and loop around. Was there last week to get some hood hinges for the Huntmobile. Bring tools and rubber boots.

You may have some problems with it staying rust free inside. The bearings are not made to be watertight and will allow water to enter, causing corrosion, and will cause a short and that will be the end of your motor. If you want a trolling motor, buy one used.

If you want a project, fine, but I think it will not last long.

Smile Pick N Pull

Barlow and Glenmore trail, goole it, you have to enter from te south side. They have their inventory on line and they have lots and lots of cars and trucks to chose from.

Its lots of fun and cheap.

What does an A/C or Heater motor look like? What part of the car is it in? How easy is it to take out and what tools are needed? Thanks

Replaced one in a '92 Aerostar once. In that case, it was right up front on the passenger side (under the hood) against the firewall. You can see the back end of it, and it's held in by a few screws around the circumference of the flange around the motor, easily removed with a bit wrench or socket set.

I agree , I think water in the heater motor will toast it . Replaced one on the wife's car when water got in it and rusted it

But for the price it will cost to make one ($28.00) I think I will do it for fun and to try out once or twice.

I have a box of 6 or so older (60's-70's style) NEW GM fan motors without the fan basket, just the electric motor.
