Default Who needs a winch?

Was at Costco St Albert yesterday and they have a smoking deal on the Champion 12000# winch kit that includes 85 foot Synthetic rope, snatch block, and 2" receiver mount kit with the hawse for synthetic rope, and weather cover for and controller $399.

It doesn't get better than this for a 12000# 12V winch .The darn synthetic rope is about $300 by itself. If you want to use it on the rear you need to make up a long set of power cables to clip in to the quick connect plug .

I have 2 of these winches , 1 on each truck and like them a lot .I ordered the wireless controlers from Champion for both so I can safely operate from anywhere up to 100 feet away.

Wish I wasn’t in camp right now. I’d go buy a membership and the winch tonight! That’s a great deal and the winch would be great on the front of my old diesel.

Where do you live?

Just picked one. They told me that the price ends in .97 and it is a discontinued item. Regular price is 579. Edmonton South side Costco still have 7 left. I can pick one for you.

I still have a 10,000 lb 'snap-on' winch from Costco, works great. I hope there is one left Saturday when we go. Thanks for the heads-up.

I have 2 of these winches. Love them and the Champion warranty.
Burried my truck and camper bumper to bumper , and the only anchor was at a steep angle. I broke a new steel cable and tore up the fairlead/rollers . Called for help and tore up 2 more cables ,1 on a 12000# warn, and the other on a same model 12000 Champion pulling at the same time with snatch blocks . It ended up a job for a 4wd tractor , and he broke 2 logging chains before I got out.

Champion replaced the fairlead / rollers on my winch, and also replaced the cable on the warn and the other Champion , even knowing that we had massive side pull, and overloaded the winches.
They said they felt I was let down and wanted to make it right .

I had the 3 new cables and fairlead within a week of sending an Email all at no charge including shipping and customs from California. The Canadian store was out of stock so they expedited the parts from USA.

After that I bought a second winch to mount for my second truck.

I've used one in the past, buddy I sold it too is still using it & it's still going strong.

It's has to be 10 yrs old now and VERY well used not just a decorative piece.

I would buy that one in a second with no regrets. That's what a small off brand quad winch would cost ya.

For that price I might pick one up just to throw on a shelf just to have
