Which is more special, possibly having two 100+ point guys on the team or beating a team that beat the Flames?

Even the worst team gets lucky and wins a few games, but it isn't a huge accomplishment to beat the teams that lose the majority of their games.

Easy now... he’s not a hockey guy. I can see flames fans holding their forehead after he posted his comment.

Sitting with over 100 points, and having a playoff spot clinched, I doubt that they are overly concerned about losing one game.

Would you say less concerned of losing a game than you are of the oilers winning one?

Of course he did. First is virtually locked up and he already knows what works. Why not throw it all in the blender and see if something new and cool comes out. I like it.

BD... I am thinking you are going to lose our little wager about the Oilers making the playoffs.
Care to make another bet using that $20 on something? I am open to discussion. :-)

I think Neal is beyond slump.... he’s entering lucic territory. A slump I would consider 6 -12 games. Neal hasn’t done nothing since coming over.

Who knows. But it will be fun to watch!!! Monahan does such a great job of hiding his injuries, I don't know what is exactly going on with him.
Perhaps tonight we will find a huge surprise.

Major disappointment for sure. It's looking like a misstep on relatively awesome set of work by our GM. Everyone keeps saying "Wait for the playoffs" I am thinking they are just holding out hope for a miracle. What ever drive that was inside him now seems to be gone. Only he can bring that back.

I agree, I am normally a glass half empty type guy, and I am trying really hard for this to be a glass half full situation. I won't write him off until after the playoffs, but I am a lot more skeptical now then I was when Brad signed him.
I am hoping the physicality of a playoff series gets him going, he just seems disengaged.

You boys lost? This is an Oiler's thread, might only last for a few more days, but it ours. Go lament Neal's woes on the Flames thread, we don't need that negative energy here.

Who here thinks the Oilers can pull this off? Raise your hands.
Ok now slap yourself with it.
I still think there is to many other factors that need to fall into place to have this happen.
Could they be the wildcard that Calgary draws first round with finishing first? Could we get the BOA we were after?

Right now it is .75% chance of playing Calgary and 99.25% chance I am going to win $20 from Brendans Dad. ;-)

I don't know. We could say a first round victory by the Flames in the playoffs?
I say it's over in 6 games and I dont care who they play.

Oilers aren't out yet........
Believe it or not I don't like betting against a Canadian team, even the Shames
Same offer only I will add if the Flames face any other Canadian team I will double down. Jets vs the Flames would be awesome.
