Default Kitamat area fishing?

My wife spend a few years of her youth growing up in Kitimat. She would like to go back to see how things have changed and so we can go fishing on the Skeena and or Kitimat rivers. For those of you who go out there what time of year is usually the best time to be out there? We plan on hiring a guide for a day to get us started and see what we can do on our own after that. We would be shore fishing like alot of people do on these rivers but we have never done it before. If the stars line up we might even take a couple days to check out a member on here fishing lodge.

Kitimat is pretty good, extremely busy now though.
As for fishing, if u want non-stop action i would recommend late August early september for coho.

If your looking for kings, i usually go July 5th to 10th. Never missed by leaving alberta in that time frame. Some days will be slow 1-2 fish and then some days ur arms get tired from reeling.

I stay at kitimat lodge, if i remember its about $120 a night for the cabins.
Then anywhere from $500 a day for drift fishing to $900 a day for jet.

Lots of good guides in the area, but one of the guides at kitimat lodge is a good friend. So i always stay there.
Hope this helps
